The main purpose includes organising and coordinating events in the context of video games (LAN parties, Gamescom, etc.) and in the context of community activities (barbecue courses, wine and whiskey tastings, etc.). The secondary purpose is to promote friendship between adults.
The association was founded in 2022. Before that, there was a loose association of like-minded computer gamers. Several LAN parties take place every year, one of which is open to the public. A trip to Gamescom is planned every year. Various events such as barbecue courses, whiskey and wine tastings, etc. are also organised. The association also often helps with events in and outside its home community of Pütscheid/Weiler.
A public LAN party will be held in mid-December 2024. This is where computer gamers meet and play in tournaments for prizes. The event is designed for 40 players and passers-by and lasts 3 days. Further details can be found at www.gamer.lu
