This initiative, set up by the Agence du Bénévolat, with the support and backing of the Ministère de la Famille, de l'Intégration et à la Grande Région and the Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte, aims to improve the way in which volunteers are taken into account in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, making volunteering more attractive as a means of supporting community projects.

in which volunteers are recognised and valued for their work and commitment, thereby enhancing the attractiveness of community life.

  • Improve volunteer management practices
through benchmarking based on self-assessment by the organisation and external assessment by experts

  • Encourage transparency and accountability in labelled organisations
through compliance with high standards in this area and a continuous improvement approach.

Why label your association?

Increased recognition and visibility

The Label highlights your organisation's exemplary commitment and enables you to stand out among your current and future volunteers. It gives you greater visibility with potential volunteers, partners and donors, and builds confidence in your organisation.

Development and continuous improvement

The Label certification process encourages you to evaluate and constantly improve your volunteer practices. It enables you to identify your strengths and areas for improvement, thereby promoting the ongoing development of your organisation.

Exchange and collaboration network

By obtaining the Label, you join a network of certified voluntary organisations. This offers you opportunities to exchange ideas, share good practice and collaborate with other players involved in volunteering.

Label criteria of excellence :
for quality volunteering

When it comes to offering a quality volunteering experience within associations, two essential themes emerge: the way the organisation operates and the way volunteers are managed. These two pillars are fundamental to creating an environment where volunteers can flourish, contribute fully and feel a real impact within the organisation.

The organisation

Effective organization functioning serves as the foundation for motivating, engaging, and retaining volunteers. This fosters an environment in which they feel appreciated, valuable, and committed to achieving the association's goals.

  • How the organisation is run and managed
  • The organisation's principles and values
  • Organisational communication

Les bénévoles

Effective and attentive management of volunteers ensures that the association operates smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably while meeting the needs and expectations of its volunteers. This enhances their commitment to the association and its cause.
