Our History : Dress for Success is an international non-profit organisation helping women worldwide. Founded in New York in 1997, it now has 150 affiliates based in 20 countries and has already helped 940 000 women find employment. DFS empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire.
October 2013: Dress for Success Luxembourg launched by 8 women actively involved in professional working life
February 2014: opening of the first boutique
March 2015: signing of the partnership between ADEM and Dress for Success Luxembourg
Since 2014 : more than 200 clients and a 65% success rate
Since 2017 : Launching of Dress for Success Work Readiness Program developed with the financial support of Oeuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte (“Mateneen”). To offer migrant women registered with ADEM the means to facilitate their integration into working life in Luxembourg
Our Mission :
- Promote economic independence of women by offering them additional help when seeking employment
- Provide suitable quality clothing to optimise their chances of integration into the professional world of work
- Emphasise their qualities and skills by providing personalised advice
- Provide solid advice on job interview techniques
- Provide career development tools and offer professional and personal fulfilment via a broad support network of active women
