The volunteer photographer will use their skills to help families by taking photographs with sensitivity and respect to preserve the memory of their baby.
This assignment requires working with respect for medical staff and families, ensuring strict confidentiality, and performing light retouching (adjusting lighting, contrast, and certain minor details) to create serene, dignified, and respectful images while preserving their authenticity.
Whenever possible, the photographer will also meet with the parents some time after the session to present them with the photographs in an intimate and comforting setting.
This assignment is open to both professional and amateur photographers who possess the technical and interpersonal skills necessary to support families facing perinatal bereavement.
