We are looking for volunteers to help supervise the study area at our refugee reception center.
We are looking for people willing to volunteer some of their time to help make our study and reception area a peaceful and productive place. As a study hall monitor, you are responsible for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere.
Your *main duties* will be: *Reception:* Greeting visitors and helping them get settled. *Work Environment:* Ensuring silence and respectful interaction so everyone can concentrate. *Occasional Support:* If you wish, helping someone understand instructions (without providing private tutoring). *Logistics:* Managing the attendance sheet and tidying the room at the end of the session. *Desired Qualities:* We are not looking for experts, but above all for people with the right personality: *Patience:* You know how to take the time needed to explain and listen, despite language barriers. *Open-mindedness:* You approach every life story with curiosity, respect, and without judgment. *Interpersonal skills:* You know how to balance firmness (to maintain calm in the room) with kindness (to make people feel welcome). You have a good rapport with the residents. You are known for your natural authority and kindness.
