For Amnesty International, the candle represents a symbol of hope for victims of human rights violations. That's why, every year, Amnesty Luxembourg organises a candle sale across the country, and we need your help!

Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering

As part of its 2026 Candle Campaign, Amnesty International Luxembourg is looking for volunteers to help us prepare and distribute candles across Luxembourg between September and December. Several types of assignments are possible:

  • Delivery: pick up the candles from Amnesty International in Luxembourg City and deliver them to different municipalities in all regions of the country. The municipalities will be announced closer to the time.
  • Preparation and packaging: help prepare, sort, and package orders.
  • Staffing booths: Participate at sales and awareness-raising booths during the campaign.
  • Logistical support: Provide occasional assistance in preparing materials and orders.
  • Spreading the word: Collaborating with sports clubs, schools, associations, etc., to sell candles.

Each volunteer can choose the tasks that fit their availability and location. For deliveries, having a car is an advantage.

By participating in the Candle Campaign, you help support the work of Amnesty International Luxembourg and raise public awareness of human rights.
