LuxCon brings science fiction, fantasy, and horror to life in Luxembourg: an inclusive festival of readings, games, arts, and cosplay, driven by volunteers, to bring audiences together and celebrate the imagination.
Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering
As volunteers at LuxCon, we’ll help, among others, with the following tasks:
Transport day: Load the van and, if needed, bring the materials to Geesseknäppchen.
Set-up days: Move tables, podiums, and chairs; help clear the event spaces; put up signs and decorations; and set up the bars, outdoor tents, tables, and benches.
Convention days: Help sell tickets, tombola tickets, and books; serve drinks; assist with workshop timing and support; help exhibitors; take photos and video; interview guests; and support the social media team.
Tear-down Sunday evening: Take down as much as possible outside, including tents, tables, and benches; put tables and chairs back in place; remove signs and decorations; and reset the spaces.
Tear-down Monday morning: Finish resetting the main indoor space and final clean-up.
