We offer a wide range of social services to protect and support children, young people and families.

Presentation of our organisation

arcus is a non-profit association, born out of Christian-inspired charities that have been working together for over 60 years in social, educational and therapeutic work with children, young people and families. The values and traditions of the founding organisations form the strong basis of our philosophy of action and guide us in the design and development of our activities and services. The founding organisations of arcus are: "Aide Familiale", "Clara Fey", "Fir ons Kanner", "Françoise Dufaing" and "KMA Victor Elz".

Since its creation in 2008, arcus has sought to continue its commitment in line with this philosophy. The protection and support of children, young people and their families are always at the heart of all activities and efforts. The arches in the arcus logo symbolically represent these two objectives and reinforce their importance within the organisation. The open lines symbolise the temporary nature of our services, which aim to promote the independence of those we help.

Support and protection are at the heart of all our services, which include childcare facilities, mobile socio-educational family support services, child placement services, children's and youth homes, educational work in youth centres and the "Quai 57" service, which offers advice and assistance to drug addicts and their families.

We listen to the needs and expectations of our target groups with a view to continuously improving our services. The recognition of the individual skills and qualities of our employees and all those involved in our services guarantees professional and high-quality results. In this context, our "Agence Dageselteren" is both a (continuing) training centre and a centre for information and professional support.

We support innovation and encourage collaboration with the research community. arcus aims to be a competent, critical and reliable partner and stakeholder for national and local political bodies, the education sector, the social sector and other stakeholders working towards similar goals.
