A Scottish bagpipe and drum group promoting music and Celtic culture.
In January 2009, seven bagpipers and five drummers decided to form their own association.
On January 7, 2009, the founding meeting was held in Klausen near Wittlich, Germany, and the band was officially established. It was unanimously decided to adopt the name "Spirit of the Highlands Pipes and Drums" and to move the headquarters to Grevenmacher.
The band is a "non-profit organization" (asbl) officially registered in the Luxembourg trade register.
Scottish culture is close to our hearts, and friendship and conviviality are key values for us.
The musical direction is provided by the Pipe Major and Drum Major, who also lead the rehearsals. Performances are traditionally played in kilts. During performances, the band members wear the Campbell of Louden Modern Tartan. The uniform consists of a Prince Charlie kilt outfit.
We are constantly looking for new members.
Are you passionate about Scottish culture? Then join us and become a member!
We are looking for pipers and drummers! Staff members are also warmly welcome. We need people to take care of the band during every performance.
