We offer compassionate, individualized accompaniment, memory‑preserving photography in hospital, and ongoing emotional support so families can grieve in a dignified and respected way. Presentation of our organisation

Our mission lies in creating memories of stillborn babies and supporting their bereaved parents and families.
We’re offering our services to photograph children who have passed away at birth, to capture the brief and treasured moments parents are able to share with them, so we can create a lasting memory for all eternity.
Many other souvenir items are provided to parents, all of them are one of a kind and handmade with love by our partners and volunteers.
- Pairs of unique plushies, one for the baby, one for the parents.
- Individually decorated, wooden memory boxes.
- Clothing sets, made from wedding dresses that are donated to our asbl. The sets come in sizes from the 13th to the 40th pregnancy week. Each set includes the either a folding blanket or clothes, a basket, two identical hearts (one for the baby, one for the parents), a blanket and a bonnet.
- Candles with a unique design
- Jewelry consisting of a silver pendant, engraved with the initials of the babies names and their birth dates.
- Crocheted blankets, stars and hearts.
- Grieving cards.
- Stickers.
- Tote bags.
- Plushies for "rainbow babies" (babies that are born following a stillbirth).
Our photographers visit all parents, at their home to personally hand over all items.
Long term help for bereaved parents, or any person affected by the loss of a baby, is provided through our event "De Stärecafé", a get-together held on a monthly basis. These meetings provides a safe space where attendees can share their stories and build a strong community.
The "Gedenkfeier fir d'Stärekanner" is a yearly remembrance ceremony for all babies that have passed away. It is held at, and co-hosted, by hospital staff from the CHdN (hospital).
Our association is also dedicated to raise awareness about pregnancy & baby loss, and to break the taboo surrounding this topic. We actively lobby for better rights for bereaved families and to improve and expand services available to affected persons.
We work everyday towards guaranteeing that no baby will ever be forgotten and no parents or family members will need to suffer and grief in silence.
