We're looking for leaders aged 21 (at least) to supervise 11-year-olds at a 4-week international camp in Luxembourg (July-August) welcoming 10 delegations from different countries around the world. The role of the counsellor on site is different from the role of the supervisors: the counsellors on site (‘Staff’) do not have their own delegation, but work in a team with 4 to 5 other counsellors and are responsible for the smooth running of the camp from an organisational point of view.
Each delegation is made up of two girls and two boys, accompanied by a supervisor. Children from different countries around the world take part in a human adventure, sharing in a variety of educational, cultural and fun activities. The idea is to help them discover other cultures, to see that concerns are the same in all countries, and thus to help them evolve in a fairer and more peaceful world. Through games and activities based on CISV values, they learn to communicate, interact and live together.
The activities are organised together by all the activity leaders on site. Each supervisor is also responsible for ‘his/her’ delegation, listening to them during the camp, translating the activities (English into Luxembourgish) and accompanying them on the trip.
As a staff member, you have a unique opportunity to discover unique educational activities, develop leadership skills, improve your organisational and communication skills, make friends with people from all over the world and discover new cultures.
The ASBL organises pre-departure training courses in Luxembourg to prepare the leaders perfectly for their mission.
Le CISV organise des camps de vacances au Luxembourg et à l'étranger pour les jeunes de 11 à 17 ans. Des jeunes adultes à partir de 18 ans peuvent également participer à ces camps en tant que moniteurs. Le CISV propose un mélange de sept programmes internationaux basés sur des camps et des échanges familiaux.
