Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering

As part of a volunteer position with Groupe Zoé, the role involves strengthening the bond between the child and her mother. The goal is to foster positive interactions between parent and child through respectful and empowering support. Thanks to her professional experience as a midwife, the volunteer possesses the necessary skills in the areas of family counseling, parenting support, and early childhood development, which she can share with young mothers. Groupe Zoé is also seeking a volunteer capable of supporting a 2-year-old child once or twice a week or on weekends at the church square and at the SNPJ, and of facilitating visits with the child’s mother. The schedule would be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekends, but these times can be adjusted as therapy progresses. A driver’s license is required, as is experience working with children. The volunteer will also need to complete an orientation period with the group and get to know the child in question. Immediate start—the duration is approximately 6 months and may be extended to accompany the child to other appointments.
