Objective of the mission

Become a volunteer with Service Iris and spend enjoyable moments with people living with dementia who look forward to regular visits. For spring 2026, we are looking for volunteers for a training course in Luxembourgish, which will take place in Luxembourg City.

Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering

Since 2012, Iris has been training volunteers who offer their time on a regular basis to anyone who is isolated or feeling lonely.

By joining the Iris service, you will be committing to volunteering and bringing happiness into the life of someone suffering from loneliness
To become a volunteer, you must complete a 20-hour training course, which will be offered in Luxembourg City in 2025.

We are looking for people who can make regular visits to people with dementia.

How to become an Iris volunteer?

Are you motivated? Then don't hesitate, the criteria are simple:

- Be over 18
- Be a good listener
- Be tolerant and empathetic
- Be available for a few hours a week
- Complete a 20-hour training course led by a multidisciplinary team, including support for people with dementia.
- Complete a 2-hour internship with an experienced volunteer
