The Luxembourg Red Cross is looking for committed volunteers to help with the pre-qualification programme for beneficiaries of international protection (BPI). The aim of this programme is to enhance their employability, independence and integration into Luxembourg society through training, cultural activities and support in finding employment.
How can you help? Depending on your skills, availability and interests, there are several roles available: 📚 Teaching and running workshops Raising awareness of daily life and the world of work in Luxembourg. Sharing professional or technical skills.
🏛️ Organising cultural and civic visits Accompanying groups on visits to museums, institutions or iconic sites. Helping participants discover Luxembourg’s history, culture and how the country works. Encouraging participants’ social and civic engagement.
🤝 Becoming a volunteer mentor or coach Supporting someone with their career plans. Share your experience of the world of work. Encourage and support self-confidence.
💼 Help with finding an internship or job Draw on your professional network. Explain the realities of certain sectors. Identify opportunities for internships, work placements or career exploration. Put participants in touch with potential employers.
🎤 Prepare them for job interviews Conduct mock interviews. Give practical advice on how to present themselves. Help them highlight their skills and experience. Offer constructive feedback to improve their application.
Ideal candidate You’re keen to share your knowledge or experience. You are a good listener, caring and open to cultural diversity. You wish to contribute to the inclusion and integration of people on a pathway to employment.
Practical information 📍 Locations: Central and Northern Luxembourg. 🕒 Flexible commitment: a few hours a month or more regular involvement, depending on your availability.
