Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering

As part of our support for young unaccompanied refugee minors, we are looking for one or two volunteers willing to help by running weekly French-language tutoring sessions, initially organised every Thursday in the late afternoon at our residential centre in Contern.

The young people we support on a daily basis are aged between 14 and 18. Some already have a very good grasp of French, whilst others, who have arrived more recently, are still learning the language. The aim is to support them by leading French language learning sessions and/or helping them with their schoolwork in French.

We are looking for candidates who have a command of the French language, are comfortable interacting with young people from other countries, have good teaching skills, and who share the values and commitment of the Luxembourg Red Cross.
