Downhill&MTB Club Reckange/Mess
The promotion of downhill mountainbiking in Luxembourg through the maintenance and development of a downhill trail in Reckange-sur-Mess.
Maintaining and developing our downhill trail helps riders progress and push their limits safely.
Regular mission
Our downhill trail is maintained and developed by hand with great care and attention. Using classic tools such as shovels, wheelbarrows, and other common garden tools, volunteers work together to keep the trail safe, functional, and continuously improving.
Typical tasks include:
• Building and compacting jump take-offs and landings with soil
• Maintaining and shaping berms and corners
• Constructing new jumps and trail features
• Installing trail signage
• Transporting soil or logs using wheelbarrows
• Removing grass and vegetation
• Cutting and preparing logs
• And many other varied trail-building activities
This work is physically active and rewarding. Volunteers quickly see the results of their efforts and gain a strong sense of achievement by contributing to a trail they help create and improve.
Beyond the physical work, teamwork and community are at the heart of the experience. Volunteers spend time outdoors, learn practical skills, and become part of a motivated and passionate community.
