The Repair Café gives people the opportunity to learn how to mend small items of clothing with the help of volunteers. It promotes the sharing of skills, self-reliance, and repair over replacement.
Regular mission
Open to everyone, the Repair Café allows participants to bring one or two items of clothing to be repaired (missing buttons, loose seams, hems, minor alterations, etc.).
The volunteer’s role is primarily educational: they show participants how to repair their clothes and guide them step by step. Depending on their comfort level, people can perform the repair themselves with the volunteer’s help, or let the volunteer do it while receiving detailed instructions.
We fight against all forms of human suffering in Luxembourg, insecurity, poverty and discrimination. Our services are aimed at homeless people, people in precarious situations, refugees, migrants, children, young people and families.
