Volunteers may participate in or lead various activities under the supervision of one or more members of the Natural Park’s multidisciplinary team. Supervisors ensure that volunteers are assigned tasks that align with their motivation, knowledge, skills, level of independence, and desire to learn.
- Greet tourists
- Answer phone calls at the front desk
- Provide tourists with information about hiking trails, activities, and local attractions
- Explain hiking routes to tourists using maps
- Take reservations for the solar-powered boat, enter them into the reservation system, and then send confirmations to customers
- Take reservations for activities offered by the nature park and then send confirmations to customers
- Sell products in the shop and tickets for the museum (Duchfabrik)
- Manage the stock of brochures and hiking maps at the tourist information desk
- Restock the store shelves and information points
- Prepare gift baskets and souvenirs
- Send out invitations
