Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering

The Charity Kids Run is a project of the Luxembourg Red Cross aimed at teaching children first aid skills while promoting sports activities that foster a sense of community. The project is primarily aimed at children aged 6 to 11 who attend elementary school or are enrolled in after-school care programs.
As part of this project, the Luxembourg Red Cross is seeking volunteer first aiders to lead fun, interactive first aid workshops for children in grades 2, 3, and 4, preferably in the Luxembourgish language.
The Luxembourg Red Cross provides volunteers with the educational materials needed to lead the workshops. These materials are designed to evolve and adapt to the needs, ideas, and preferences of the volunteers, thereby fostering a participatory and dynamic approach.
*Required Qualifications*

*The Workshops* The workshops include an introduction to the
European emergency number 112, as well as teaching simple steps to
place a person in the recovery position, tailored to the children’s age groups.
These workshops are generally held during the day, either during school hours or on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Each session lasts between 40 and 50 minutes and takes place in small groups of 10 to 20 children. The workshops are usually led by a team of two facilitators.
The locations vary depending on the participating schools and may be in different municipalities across the Grand Duchy. Schedules are provided to volunteers based on the partners’ needs. No minimum commitment is required.
