Volunteer work at Tiers-lieu Eich: staffing the center and supporting its activities to foster social connections, social cohesion, and intercultural understanding in the northern neighborhoods of Luxembourg City.
The “Eich Third Place” is a project managed by ASTI asbl and funded by the City of Luxembourg. It is a space where residents of the northern neighborhoods of the City of Luxembourg can come together and engage in activities. The Third Place aims to promote social diversity, intercultural exchange, and community sharing.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to make a long-term commitment to help welcome residents and support the activities organized at the Tiers-lieu. Your role will be to foster connections among residents of the surrounding neighborhoods.
Do you live in Beggen, Dommeldange, Eich, Mühlenbach, Weimerskirch, or nearby? Do you enjoy interacting with people, are you welcoming and warm, and do you have a unifying spirit? Can you commit to at least one Saturday per month? Are your criminal record checks (Forms No. 3 and No. 5) clean?
Then join us!
One month of training will be provided by the Tiers-lieu managers; after that, the volunteer will be able to work independently.
ASTI aims to defend the rights and interests of immigrants. Its proposals and demands in the field of schooling, equal rights, the fight against discrimination, the commitment with refugees and undocumented migrants are based on field work with children, young people and adults.
