Association Pour la Protection des Animaux Schifflange
An animal shelter provides shelter, care, and a chance for adoption to abandoned or mistreated animals, while raising awareness about animal protection.
Walking dogs at the shelter promotes their physical health, reduces stress, and improves their well-being. It helps socialize the dogs and prepares them for a future home. Additionally, the interaction with people builds trust and allows for better assessment of their behavior.
A walking mission at the shelter begins with safely leashing the dogs in their respective enclosures. Then, they go outside for a walk or play in a secure area, depending on their needs. During the walk, the dog’s behavior is observed to identify any issues and build trust. It’s also an opportunity to socialize the dogs and give them positive experiences outside the shelter. After the walk, the dog is safely returned to its enclosure.
