We are looking for 50 companions/support staff for holiday camps!
Fun, positivity, relaxation and well-being are at the heart of our stays.

Your role is to be a trusted companion – a friend and reference person – for a child, teenager or adult with autism during their holiday.

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • No prior experience is required – empathy and respect are your greatest assets. We travel to the seaside and the mountains, and fun is guaranteed.

During each holiday week, there are usually 6–7 people with autism, supported by 6–7 companions and 2 FAL educators. The support ratio is 1:1, meaning you accompany one person from morning until bedtime. The goal is to ensure a wonderful holiday experience by respecting their rhythm, interests and wishes, encouraging autonomy, and supporting them during meals, free time, structured activities and daily routines. Some individuals may be emotionally more vulnerable or find changes and unexpected situations stressful. Our professional educational staff are trained to handle delicate situations and will support you with appropriate techniques. Before the holiday, you will attend an information session to learn about autism, the personality of the person you will accompany, and to meet the team. Departure is usually from Munshausen or Rambrouch.

This is a unique opportunity to discover the extraordinary world of autism, build meaningful connections and experience personal growth.

This role is a voluntary commitment, not a student job. All expenses (transport, accommodation, meals, activities and entrance fees) are covered by FAL. You will receive an allowance of €25 per day (€35 per day if you have completed the basic autism training).

If you would like to participate, contact us at: loisirs@fal.lu or sign up through the following link:  Volunteer Application Form

Requirements:
– at least 18 years old
– open-minded
– reliable
– criminal record extract (No. 3)

Any experience related to social, educational, sports or cultural activities is considered an asset (training as an educator, teacher, coach, activity leader, etc.).

A true life lesson awaits you. A reality different from your own, different social perspectives, deeply moving human experiences… This is your opportunity to open your eyes to the world and to yourself, to discover your ability to adapt and integrate, and to successfully contribute to a meaningful project. It is the best way to learn from others, embrace diversity, broaden your perspective and help build a more equitable world.
