The job of accompanying a person with autism is not to be considered as a student job, but you are there as a volunteer accompanying a person on holiday to help them have a good time and become more independent. You must be at least 18 years old and no qualifications are required.

Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg

Your role will be to welcome patients, relatives or visitors at their request, and to guide and direct them to their destination in the buildings on the various CHL sites.

Votre mission consiste à permettre à une personne en situation de handicap de vivre des vacances selon ses souhaits personnels. Il s'agit d'assister la personne au quotidien selon ses besoins en proposant votre aide lors des soins, des repas, des activités de loisirs et des déplacements. Une formation dans les soins sera un atout (non obligatoire).

A côté de nos professionnels (éducateurs et/ou infirmiers), vous assisterez un groupe de 4 à 6 clients en situation de handicap. Vous serez à l'écoute de leurs besoins et vous aiderez lors du déplacement (pousser le fauteuil roulant) et des repas. Une petite aide lors des soins d'hygiène personnelle pourrait éventuellement être requise.

Our clients with disabilities are looking for volunteers to accompany them on their leisure activities: whether it is a concert or a trip to the cinema, a regular activity (e.g. going to the swimming pool) or an occasional activity. The presence of a companion gives the client a sense of security.
