Objective of the mission
Offer human presence where it is most valuable.
Do you have compassion, a good ear, and a desire to take meaningful action?
Join Omega 90. We are looking for women and men willing to offer their presence to those going through times of great vulnerability.
Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering
Every day, our volunteers support people who are seriously ill, at the end of life, or grieving. They offer a human, sincere, and attentive presence - where words may be lacking, but where the heart speaks loud and clear.
Volunteering at Omega 90 isn’t just another commitment. It’s a human journey that transforms you - a strength you give… and also receive.
What Our Volunteers Do
Omega 90 volunteers do not provide medical care. Instead, they offer a caring, respectful, and human presence, whether:
- At home
- In residential facilities for the elderly and others
- In hospitals, especially in palliative care units
- At the Haus Omega Palliative Care Center
They also support loved ones and anyone experiencing grief, whether it's the loss of a loved one, daily routine, place of living… or even a pet.
“A presence that doesn’t heal, but brings warmth.”
Currently, most of our volunteers are women. We would like to welcome more men, as their presence brings a different but equally valuable kind of support.
Are you a man wondering if this role is right for you?
- Do you have good listening skills?
- Can you create a calm, simple, reassuring atmosphere?
- Are you comfortable with discretion, authenticity, and sometimes silent presence?
Then you have what it takes. You can become an anchor, a quiet strength—a steady presence in the storm others are facing.
A Deep, Human Training
Our next training starts in Autumn 2025 (in Luxembourgish). It’s free and certified (200 training units), preparing you to live this experience in the best possible way.
The program runs over the course of one year and includes:
- Two Saturdays per month (8:30 AM–4:30 PM) & four evening sessions throughout the year (6:00 PM–7:30 PM)
- One residential weekend & 20 hours of practical internship
It’s a rich and well-structured program, guided by experienced trainers - an opportunity to learn, share, and reflect on life, death, and grief.
