Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering
History Keeper! Are you in?
The stories of older people are true treasures, bringing history to life while building bridges between generations and communities. These valuable voices should not fall silent. Together, we can make sure of that—with your support!
On the future website “deemools.lu,” testimonies will be preserved in the form of video interviews covering a wide range of topics, such as everyday life, traditions, crafts, industry, immigration, and much more. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help make this project a reality.
A Volunteer Role with Heart and Purpose
Do you love listening, asking questions, and capturing memories? Would you like to learn new skills while being part of an important cultural project? Then join the team of History Keepers!
No prior knowledge is required. Depending on your interests and skills, you will be trained and supported to take on one or more of the following tasks:
Interviews: Asking questions and giving space to the stories of witnesses.
Audiovisual Recordings: Learning how to handle cameras and equipment.
Transcription or Translation: Perfect for language enthusiasts.
What makes "Deemools.lu" so special?
This multimedia platform will preserve memories and make them accessible to the public, as well as to teachers and researchers in the field of contemporary history. It will also serve as a valuable, practical tool for memory training in senior care.
