Objective of the mission

A mentor in Code Club is someone who supports and guides young people as they learn to code and create digital projects. You don’t need to be a professional developer to be a good mentor – you need to be patient, curious, and happy to learn alongside the kids. We provide resources for the curriculum, training and guidance.

Presentation of the opportunity for volunteering

We currently run 13 weekly clubs for 9-12 years old children across the country, each lasting one hour during the school year. To keep these clubs alive and growing, we need volunteers to join our teams.
Each club runs with at least two mentors. If you have enough support, you can even start a new club in your own village!

Our goal is simple: to be as close as possible to children after school, and to give them the keys to become digital creators rather than just consumers.

What does a mentor or coach do?
Your role is not about being a coding expert — Your role is to guide, encourage, and make tech fun for kids in a safe, welcoming space. It’s about sharing enthusiasm and showing that technology can be fun and meaningful.

We provide the curriculum and full support. You will never be alone — our volunteers work together and support each other.
We especially need volunteers to reinforce our clubs in Esch, Differdange, and Frisange — but you can even start a club in your own village with enough support.
