SOS Détresse - Mir hëllefen iwwer Telefon an online offers help to anyone in distress, by telephone and online, anonymously and confidentially.
Whether on the phone or in writing, a team of volunteers, prepared for the task by in-depth basic training, is available to support anyone who needs to talk. We are offering a new training course for people interested in volunteering with our association to strengthen our team.
Are you a people person? Are you interested in human relations and psychology? Are you a good listener? Do you know yourself and your limits? Can you handle crisis situations? And would you like to get involved as a volunteer?

‘SOS Détresse was founded in the 1970s to provide telephone help to people in distress or acute crisis. Interviews are anonymous and confidential.
The basic training lasts a year and a half and is given in Luxembourgish. Throughout the course, you will learn listening techniques, acquire general knowledge of psychology and human relations, in-depth knowledge of yourself and self-esteem, and have the opportunity to exchange with other volunteers and professionals in the social sector.
The next training group starts on 01 February.
