Info-Handicap - Conseil national des personnes handicapées
Info-Handicap – National Council for People with Disabilities is the central point of contact and national council for people with disabilities.
Supporting people with disabilities in using public transportation independently and safely.
Regular mission
The mission is to gradually help people with disabilities learn how to get around using public transportation—specifically by helping them understand routes, schedules, and connections, and by helping them find their way around—while taking into account their pace and specific needs.
The goal is to promote their independence and safety and to build their confidence in using public transportation on a daily basis.
Volunteer training is provided by the team at the Service d’Accompagnement à l’apprentissage à la Mobilité et aux Transports (SAMT), which also provides guidance and support throughout the assignment.
Each volunteer must participate in an “onboarding” session to ensure they understand the organization’s missions, vision, and values, and to guarantee their commitment to the inclusive approach of Info-Handicap’s projects.
