The Agence du Bénévolat was delighted with the meeting held with Prime Minister Luc Frieden on Wednesday, 19 November, in the presence of four volunteers from our campaign "Dëst ass vill méi wéi just e Stull!".
This exchange gave the volunteers the opportunity to share their experiences and the challenges linked to volunteering.
The current campaign aims to encourage more people to get involved in the board of an association and to strengthen civic participation. In this context, the exchange with the Prime Minister was particularly important: he listened attentively and underlined the importance of volunteering in community life and in Luxembourgish society. He also highlighted the essential role of associations in supporting the integration of newcomers to the country.
This meeting illustrates the recognition of public authorities towards voluntary engagement and reminds us that it remains a fundamental pillar of social cohesion in Luxembourg.
