The Agence du Bénévolat, with the support of the Ministry of Family Affairs, is launching the national campaign "Volunteers are always needed. Behind every act of kindness, there’s you."
Volunteering today takes many forms. It can involve contributing to sports, cultural or social associations, or taking part in their governance, particularly through being a member on a board of directors. Other forms of engagement are also emerging, such as relational volunteering, which consists of offering time through listening, companionship and support to people who need it. Volunteering can also be experienced among friends or through corporate volunteering, which enables employees to engage collectively in causes that serve the public good or to put their professional expertise at the service of associations through skills-based volunteering. Through this campaign, the Agence du Bénévolat highlights this diversity of volunteer opportunities and reminds us that everyone can contribute in their own way, according to their interests, skills and the time they have available.
