The local Fairtrade Action Group is looking for motivated volunteers to staff the Fairtrade booth at the Cittaslow Bio Day in Clervaux, a friendly and community-oriented event taking place on Saturday, September 26, in downtown Clervaux.

Presentation of our organisation

The municipality of Clervaux is situated in northern Luxembourg, in the heart of the Ardennes, and is characterised by a landscape close to nature, a rich cultural heritage and several vibrant villages. As a Cittaslow municipality, Clervaux places great emphasis on quality of life, regional identity and sustainable development in rural areas.

This commitment is underlined by the KlimaPakt Gold and Naturpakt awards, which reflect the municipality’s measures in the areas of climate protection, energy efficiency and nature conservation. Furthermore, as a Fairtrade municipality, Clervaux is committed to fair trade and responsible consumption. The promotion of gentle, nature-based tourism – particularly through the expansion of hiking and nature-based activities – also plays an important role.

Another key focus is on social cohesion. As part of the Intercultural Living Together Pact, the municipality supports integration, cultural diversity and respectful coexistence. This is complemented by a citizen-focused administration, modern infrastructure and forward-looking projects for families, senior citizens and young people.
