The Role of the Vice-President

The vice president of an association plays an essential role within its leadership. Alongside the president, they actively contribute to the smooth functioning of the organisation and the implementation of its strategy.

Their main missions include:

  • Supporting the president in their duties and replacing them in case of absence or impediment.
  • Taking part in strategic decision-making and the overall management of the association.
  • Coordinating certain projects or supervising specific areas of activity, depending on the internal organisation (e.g., events, partnerships, communication, etc.).
  • Working closely with other members of the association to ensure consistency in actions and decisions.
  • Strengthening the stability and continuity of the association’s leadership by acting as a reliable intermediary.
  • Assuming a representative role, particularly in meetings, events, or relations with external partners.
  • Supporting the implementation of decisions taken by the board of management or the general assembly.

The vice president is a central player in the functioning of the association and a guarantor of its continuity and dynamism.
